RSC Holdings to buy American Equipment Rentals

RSC Holdings Inc., the parent company of RSC Equipment Rental Inc., agreed to acquire American Equipment Rentals for an undisclosed amount.

Providence, R.I.-based American Equipment, which provides rental aerial equipment, forklifts and other construction equipment, has operations in Providence, Woburn, Mass., and New Britain, Conn. The company posts annual sales of about $19 million.
