Turner Electric opens new Illinois plant

Turner Electric opened a new plant in Edwardsville, Ill., the Edwardsville Intelligencer reported.The high-voltage switch gear manufacturer, which is a subsidiary of Butler, Wis.-based Actuant Corp., consolidated two plants in Fairview Heights and Millstadt, Ill., into a single, 65,000-square-foot plant that employs 75 people.
“In addition to helping improve efficiency and communication by being in a single location, the new facility will provide additional capacity to support the continued growth of our business,” president Richard Louis said.
